The event kicked off with an introduction to Responsible Care®. This is a global performance initiative that began in Canada in 1984. It promotes a commitment to worker safety and workplace safety within various industries. Since it began, Responsible Care® has grown globally with associations in more than 60 economies across the world. The initiative has been responsible for huge safety results within workplaces in the U.S. manufacturing sector that are nearly 6 times safer than the average(1). Process safety incidents within Responsible Care companies have dropped by 55% over the past 19 years and in the last 25 years Responsible Care companies have reduced their recordable injury and illness rates by 80%(1). So, you can be sure that this conference has delivered some valuable information. Now for the lessons and how these affect Airsweb and prospective clients: Auditing Auditing was a big topic this year. This looked at how auditors were able to review code implementation evidence in order to understand how changes to processes were accepted and carried out within companies. Giving auditors more detail into implemented processes and also the ability to spot trends in non-conformances will allow for quicker and easier implementation of future solutions. Airsweb’s Audit Management software has the ability to manage, configure and schedule audits. It offers a flexible service that can be tailored to your needs to provide full visibility of real time audits and most importantly includes non-conformance action tracking. Conversations and Listening Connecting people is highlighted as a huge learning tool.  Whether it’s talking to peers with similar issues in order to learn from each other, or in the case of us here at Airsweb, listening to our customers in order to create software solutions that clearly answer their specific needs. The Airsweb User Group work with Airsweb to produce our own annual User Conference, dedicated to having conversations with our users and listening to their concerns, needs and wants in order to keep our service adaptable. Restructuring and Expansion Expansion seems to be an inevitable part of Responsible Care companies. With this in mind, the need for processes that are flexible and easily adaptable is crucial in order to expand while maintaining a commitment to delivering excellent care. Risk management software from Airsweb is anything but rigid. As a software specifically designed to adapt and to be tailored to different needs, this presents the perfect solution for an expanding or restructuring company.
